Busy week

Is that the first time I've missed a week? In all these years? So last Thursday Libby had her checkup at the vets. It was the first time that she's been there with symptoms of her cancer. Though she is doing good she isn't eating like she should. Often ignoring her food or eating it then throwing up. She is deteriorating but fingers crossed she stays happy and healthy for a bit longer. We were leaving her to go to my cousin's wedding in Newcastle. My in-laws were due to babysit but their new puppy was poorly so that meant a few last minute changes. I was pretty stressed I admit but everything is good. Libby was looked after and the puppy is much better too. The next morning (after just returning on Tuesday) we were back on the road to Newcastle. The roads were horrendous, lots of water and floods. But we got there eventually and my cousin's wedding was adorable. I wore the dress that I'd made such a fuss about, though I think only my aunt noticed! Except a str...

Don't worry I'm not going to show off about my brilliant holiday!  Normality as always -  One night it had rained and the ground was still wet in the morning. Stepping into the marble floor from outside, in my wet flip flops, and my legs went akimbo! I was like a new born calf, all over the place trying not to fall. I didn't, thanks to Ellie's arm. I have a sore toe, elbow and thumb!  I nipped into the toilets next to the pool. I put my mobile phone onto the bin lid for me to pee. No sooner had I sat down when the phone slid into the bin! It was a flip top bin wasn't it! I had to delve in to retrieve it. Worth mentioning at this point that in Turkey you shouldn't put toilet paper into the toilet, you need to put it in the bin!  The daftest thing? One morning after breakfast heading back to our room Ellie veered off to the ...

I'm normal after all.

Reading the newspaper last Saturday I came across an article saying that 80% of people in the UK had clothing in their wardrobe that they'd never worn. Well I sure do. Apparently it's mostly because we are shopping online and if we decide we don't like it or it doesn't fit properly we can't be bothered to send it back. This week's picture shows just a selection of my unworn clothes, all still with tags, but I have more. Including bikinis, summer dresses, underwear and jackets. Of course my problem is that I buy clothing 2 or 3 sizes smaller than I am because 'I'll diet into it'. I've been doing this for years! The brown silk dress from Monsoon, on the left, was my first. It's a size 12! And I really liked it. I've had it so long that it's pretty unfashionable now. Not sure I would wear it even if I could. The blue dress from The White Company (yes I know it's not white - ask the company not me) is my most recent. It's a size...
