Baby lambs
We had baby lambs (like normal lambs only smaller) visit us at work this week. They were adorable and the residents loved them. They had been rejected by their mummy so have been hand reared. So cute.
Bella arrives on Monday, which is super exciting but I also have some sad news. My friend got a puppy on Saturday and on Thursday morning he died. He had parvovirus which is awful. The devastation of losing a pet mixed with the shock of only spending a few days together. The joy of having him for years ripped away. I can't imagine how it must feel. Just incomprehensible. My sorrow for their loss tinged with hope that Bella is healthy. 💔
We had a lovely anniversary break. It was like stepping back 100 years. The beds (very comfy) built inside cupboards, rolled top bath, very old high cistern toilet that was a bugger to flush. Only I had the knack so I became the designated toilet attendant. Having to get up early to light the fire in the range, and then waiting over an hour to boil the kettle. There were a couple of plug sockets but they were hidden out of view. Even the cutlery was the same as what my granddad had, so many memories! No TV, just a radio. Old fashioned everything but kind of nice. The worst bit apart from the kettle was the hot tub. It took over 4 hours to get to temp. And then it still got hotter until it was too hot. It took a bit of clever thinking to get it right. It was lovely when we were in it though. It rained, we walked, we ate and drank. It was fun.
Well last week's extra post had double my normal readers. Either you lot shared it with lots of friends or I have one pervie reader who just kept going back to it to goggle my semi nakedness (unlike as it's full of wobbles - but hey, whatever floats your boat.) I was going to write more about my planned op but I've ran out of room (I don't like writing too much - don't want to bore you). Maybe I'll do another special in a week or two.
Even when you are broken, you still have all the pieces.
