Painting

Happy to announce the decorating in the blue room (just the name we call it) is complete. Mark did the ceiling and I did the edges, coving and walls. I would choose to paint in the nude but the room is downstairs and has two windows so I didn't lol. And I'd also choose to be bare foot, but Mark shouts at me. He reckons I'm a bit messy and if I drop paint then step in it I'll then put dots of paint all over the house! Which I can't really deny - it's not unheard of for me to splash a little. So he makes me wear slippers, but then the problem is that I forget to take them off before leaving the room! Oops. He just likes to shout at me. The room is pale pink, you must think pink is my favourite colour after the porch was done in pink too. It really isn't, far from it, but it matches everything else. I'll show you once it's done! Oh and it'll still be called the blue room even though all blue has been removed!

I think I've told you before that I adore breakfast and could eat it for every meal? Well I'm happy to tell you that I've tweaked it for winter and it's better than ever! Instead of fresh berries I'm making a berry compote from frozen. I've swapped my Greek yogurt for coconut and instead of a little sprinkling of granola I'm having a sprinkling of country crisp! It-is-dev-ine! I also love porridge, or scrambled eggs and occasionally a sausage bap! Breakfast rocks! Hey I could have yogurt for breakfast, scrambled egg on toast for lunch and a sausage bap for supper! Sorted! Even porridge for pudding! How good is that? Food heaven!

Last night we went to the Enchanted Forest in Pitlochry. It was good, though maybe not quite as good as last time. I've posted a couple of photos for your perusal.

Being happy is the best form of success.

This week's job interview is from my old mate I worked with in B&Q. (Not that she's old - she's not lol)

Engineering lecturer

I teach machining , practical skills in a workshop and classroom. Subjects for employed and unemployed and also promote engineering in academies.

Best bits - seeing the penny drop and watching skills being developed and the banter is great

Worst bits - Learning to have patience when things go wrong

Surprising - Each day is different and new, somethings happen I’ve never imagined could ever happen in a workshop!

Anecdote - Every engineer knows someone with a missing finger!!
