Who are you?
It'll be no surprise to tell you that people come in all shapes and sizes. With different features like brown hair, ginger hair, big hands, small feet, hairy toes, long eyelashes. And no one would ever say that people with blonde hair are better than people with brunette hair (apart from the blue eye/brown eye experiment by Jane Elliott in 1968). But people's personalities are very different too. Some love nature, others love computers, some people are up on their feet all day, others not so much. But can you really call some personalities as better than others? A person who enjoys doing housework and keeps a spotless house is not a better person than those that hate it. People who adore running and playing sports or exercising are not better than their lazier counterparts! They are just different! Everyone is different. However, the flip of the coin is that some people like to fight, be mean, to bully or even kill. Maybe this is a bad personality after all. I think I've now confused myself. What I'm asking, basically, is do you think fit people are better than unfit people? Are slim people better than fat? Are clever people better than stupid? Are kind people better than mean? It's not so cut and dry is it? And who decides? I can safely say that polite people are better than rude. But would I say that thin people are better than fat? Would you?
Last Friday I was out with friends to a lovely local hotel for lunch. We ate in a dome then moved to the dome bar. It was very civilised and most pleasant, except the cost. I ordered a cocktail - it was £14!!! For a tiny drink in a martini glass. The next evening I made my own at home which I'm pretty sure cost me a lot less. Obviously it was my choice to get a £14 cocktail but why did I? (They were all expensive btw, going up to £18. And a glass of wine wasn't much cheaper). I think I must be crazy! (FYI it was a flat white martini - 1 part espresso, 1 part vodka, 1 part crème de cocoa, 2 parts Bailey's)
Always take the scenic route.
