It's Christmas!

Well I hope you've come back after insulting you all last week. I got a few messages admitting you do the petrol pump thing! Lol

And so this is Christmas. Today we'll be putting the decorations up. Yes it's a little early but because of work and a wee trip away it's the only chance we have! We've given up on the twig we planted last summer to replace our giant Christmas tree that we chopped down. We've got a potted one that's about 5' and is sitting on the stump of the old one. After Christmas we'll plant it where the twig is, and move the twig somewhere else! But at least we'll have suitable adorned fairy lights in the garden.

I absolutely love Christmas. I love all the decorations especially the lights, I love giving gifts and I love receiving gifts. I love all the food and drink, I love being with friends and family and it's my daughter's birthday (28 - I don't look old enough I know). I try very hard to give nice presents and I put lots of thought into it. If I think I've done well I'll be super excited about giving it. But, alas, like everyone, sometimes I get it wrong. On these occasions I expect a 'lovely, just what I always wanted' and for my gift to go in the re-gifting cupboard. I'd be sad if it was just thrown away or put into the loft, but more than happy for it to be taken to the shop and exchanged or just re-gifted! It's all about recycling now a days. So yes, if you don't like a present please remember it has a value. I will recycle gifts and if you don't, you're daft. If you give it away to someone it'll give pleasure to then do it! Much better than just shoving it aside. One of these days I'll accidentally re-gift to the person I received it from! Oops that would be embarrassing! Though when I think about it I've probably already done that!

Libby saw the vet yesterday for a check up. Vet was happy though her tumour can now be felt in her pelvic area. This means it's pretty huge now and will start distorting her bowel and bladder. These will get irritated and start causing her problems, but at this moment in time she's doing fantastically. We've found a food that keeps her stools lovely and soft. So I've bought a big bag! Go Libby, she is amazing and I just love her with all my heart. And if you translate the bonus 6 months we've already had with her into dog years then she's survived an extra 3½ years already! Boom! And as you can see from the picture she's taking full advantage of us spoiling her!

Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.
