Discombobulated

Libby has been confused this week. First we took all the furniture out of the living room. Then we covered the carpet in sticky back plastic - a bit like a giant roll of sellotape. It was comical trying to lay it. And all in the name of decorating!

Hubby just loves decorating. I heard him humming all day 'fuck it, fuck off, I Fucking hate decorating!' He'd sing this all day long. So happy! I can't show you pictures as it's not finished yet. Our plans were fluid. As we progressed the more we changed our minds!

This beautiful baby is my new great niece, Órfhlaith. It's Irish and pronounced Orla. I thought I'd picked difficult names with my children - Eleanor and Isaac. I've certainly had some weird spellings over the years! But can you imagine Órfhlaith when she's about 3, trying to spell her name and writing it on Christmas cards. I'm sure she'll love it when she's older though.

I can't believe Libby has reached week 14! She's doing amazing and is so well. I actually forget that she has cancer and may not have long. But I prefer this to the trauma we felt just a few weeks ago. Go Libby!

As you are reading this I am having a telephone interview. Admin for a local care home. Fingers crossed they offer me the position. I'm ready to get back to work. I've had a lovely couple of weeks off, now I need to work! I'll let you know soon.

Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you're right.
