Yay! She's 7!

This was Saturday morning at about 7.30am. it was stunning. And lovely and warm. Of course I couldn't resist taking my clothes off and going in. Like in the Highlands last year Libby came in and swam around me, which is so special.

There was no one else on the beach at all. I could see my clothes at all times so no one was stealing them! The water was cold but glorious and I was so calm and happy. Talking of happy...

Libby had her birthday this week. We didn't think she'd reach it but she's still going strong. It might sounds silly but the fact that she's now 7 instead of 6 just feels like a much better age.

I've had this feeling of peace and contentment for the last few days. I'm so lucky to be living my life and having the family and friends that I do. I think it's the effects of all the exercise I'm doing. I'm making sure I do at least my 10k steps every day. Long walks on the beach and working out on the elliptical trainer! Which reminds me...

If you always do what you've always done, you always get what you've always got. So I've joined Noom. You might have seen adverts. It's an app which deals with the science, psychology and behaviours of dieting. Other than Slimming World (which did actually work) I usually shy away from such things, preferring to 'go it alone'. But I wanted something different and I found it. I like what it gives me and I'm feeling in control. Of course the proof is in the pudding (no pun intended). Watch this space, and keep reading and I'll let you know how I get on. It's now or never!

The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea.
