Oh my oh my
I made bourbon biscuits for the first time. More like bourbon cakes!
Since I stopped blogging about dieting and swapping to generic topics aka my life, I've realised how boring my life has become, especially since covid. I guess I'm not alone as most people feel the same, but not most people blog about it - and expect it to be read! I don't know the future of my blogging, and I know there are lots of you who look forward to reading my words, but if it bores me goodness knows how you feel. So this week's blog is about my week, which is basically nothing.
I've been grocery shopping 4 times! I like shopping for food, I guess because I love food. Lidl was first on Saturday when I got home from Newcastle. At least I no longer have to go alone now. I'm so sick of having to go by myself! Now I can drag hubby with me. Lidl is actually my favourite. Great prices, really nice food (coleslaw, coconut yogurt, Greek yogurt, beef, muesli, granola, chocolate, crisps are just a few things that are better than any other shop). They also do a good loyalty card. On Wednesday I went to M&S after work. This is the most expensive but the quality is great and they do lots of treat purchases, and it's nice to treat yourself (great Italian ready meals, strawberries, passion fruit Swiss roll, lemon buns to name just a few). The Sparks card is okay. They no longer give points (though they were pointless anyway (no pun intended) but the offers are sometimes good. This week I got free Percy pig sweets). I then had to pop into Tesco for pomegranate and passata as I couldn't get these in Markies. Clubcard used to be the best! You could convert them for all sorts of things - hotel stays, magazine subscriptions, vouchers for restaurant, but I don't think they're as good nowadays. Thursday I popped to asda for bread and cereal and spent £40! Asda has good prices and I very, very much like the scan and go! The store is newly renovated so it's airy and clean and smart. But no loyalty at all. But it's handy. End of my week!
FYI, Margaret and Tick are no longer. And I quote "Jon is a no go mega freak". He lied about his name (why!?) and lives with his mother. He also has a daughter he doesn't like! Margaret ran, fast. But not to worry. The dating app is still doing it's stuff. She's been talking to a new one. He's very nice and only lives 3 hours away and he can no longer drive! Oh dear, Margaret knows how to date.... Not! But we wish her joy!
Libby is still doing great. Week 10 and still bouncy and happy! Long may it last. She's my fur baby and I love her massively!
Dog is such a small word for something that takes up so much room in your heart.
