I WANT CHOCOLATE!

I've been baking flapjack for 30 years. The above is this week's effort! Basically granola!

So I'm very close to the end of my challenge, just a few more days and I'm counting them off. My cravings or desire has not waned and I can not wait for it to be over! I am excited to tell you that I have raised almost £200 which makes this all worth while. I'm hoping a few more donations will take me up and over this aim. I know a few of you have said you'll donate so I'll put the link on what's app again. A big, fat, chocolatey thank you to you all! Especially my brother in law who has messaged me every day full of support! And whilst I definitely need chocolate in my life I wonder whether I have a better understanding of it. Insomuch as, will I appreciate it more? Will I take more time to enjoy it rather than guzzle it? I hope I've learnt that chocolate isn't everything and is not the basis for a healthy diet. I hope that chocolate will be in my life but as something you have as a treat. To be idolised, worshipped, and coveted. It will no doubt be eaten on a daily basis but that I'll select the best and favourite and sit down and be still while it melts in my mouth? Or, which is more likely, I'll have one taste on 1 April and binge the whole day? I'll let you know.

Now lots of you will probably of heard or been aware that yo-yo dieting is not good for you. Well...I have it on good authority (that is, I watched some TV programme) that that is not necessarily the case. If you lose weight, even if temporarily, your body reaps the benefits for that period of time that you weigh less (and have less fat). So any time that dieting has worked you've done yourself a favour. And it's much better than never having lost the weight at all.

My mother in law sent me the below. I thought I'd share it as it tickled my fancy!

Eat whatever you like because The inventor of the sports treadmill has died at the age of 54 The inventor of gymnastics died at the age of 57 The world bodybuilding champion has died at the age of 41 The best footballer in the world, Maradona, died at the age of 60

How did doctors come to the conclusion that exercise prolongs life?

The rabbit is always lively & lives for 2 years, but the turtle that does not get any exercise at all lives to be over 200 years old.

I must apologise that last week's post script was the same as the week before! Tut tut to me.

"I've realised why we are here." whispered the boy. "For cake?" asked the mole. "No. To love and be loved." says the boy.
