Happiness
So I'm setting you all a challenge. No, don't go away - it's a good one not a challenging one! Stay with me. Now chocolate makes me very happy. And that's not just because it tastes lush. It does all sorts of things with your hormones - it heightens serotonin (the well being one), dopamine (the pleasure one) and lowers cortisol (the stress one) amongst others. I googled it, it's true! So since I've given chocolate up this month I need to find something else to make me happy! As I'm also trying to be super healthy this month I don't just want to swap chocolate with chips (chips make me a bit happy too). And I want everyone of my readers to try this too. In the month of March I'd like you to decide on something that makes you happy and do it! Whether it's everyday or every week (depends on what you choose) just promise me you'll do it. Make yourself happy (because you can't rely on someone else doing it for you). I have some suggestions to help you.
- treat yourself to some supermarket flowers every week (most do roses for £1.99 and seem to always last a week)
- have a bubble bath every day and lock every one else out of the bathroom
- exercise for 7 mins every day
- buy a stranger a coffee once a week (this could be tricky just now though)
- dance in the kitchen to your favourite boogy songs.
Please feel free to think about what makes you happy. I'd love you to message me and tell me what you're going to do. I might share (anonymously) next week on my blog. What I've started to do is to take my morning coffee (or hot water with lemon) into the garden first thing. If it's cold I take a blanket. If it's raining I probably won't bother (it's not actually rained yet - I might take a brolly).
So I've not had any chocolate, biscuits, cake etc as I've started my BHF challenge. My car has no sweets and the fridge has no desserts. It's been fine but I seem to struggle between about 2pm-4pm! I've got cherry tomatoes and grapes on hand which are nice but they ain't no chocolate! The only saving grace is that I'm not cutting out alcohol (done that and got the t shirt). I am cutting back though. The last couple of nights I have had a Margherita! No idea quite why, but it was lovely! And you surely don't expect me to have no treats at all?? You have met me?
"Do you have any advice?" asked the boy. "Don't measure how valuable you are by the way you are treated." said the horse.
