Gym

We cancelled our gym membership ages ago. Mainly because we weren't going enough, then we couldn't go at all cos it was shut, then it was open but you had to book to go! But we've converted our snudge (my son mispronounced snug when he was little) into a gym. It has a gym ball, a medicine ball, weights, step, rubber bands and yoga mat. We also have a cross trainer on order (hubby's birthday present to himself) and I've used said gym three times this week. Go me! I reckon I'll have burnt at least 30 calories!

So on Monday I'm starting my challenge. I've decided to go all in and I shall be giving up chocolate, sweets, biscuits, cake and ice cream. All things nice. I am not giving up alcohol, yogurt, custard and cheese scones (hint hint Mr B). I did wonder what I could give up in April. Any ideas? Sex? Well my husband will tell you I gave that up years ago! Of course that's not true (ask my boyfriends). Swearing? This is a maybe. Baths? That would be cruel. TV? I did think of this one as I watch too much. But under lockdown there's not much else to do. And any TV I miss I will catch up in May! We used to just have freeview which was very ample. Some great shows on the main 5 channels plus Dave and the other channel 4 sister channels. When we first locked down we decided to get Netflix too. It took me a while to warm to it, just watching stuff hubby suggested (Schitts Creek - absolutely hilarious and After Life - really good, Superstore - fab). Then I found that Poldark was on it (I didn't watch it when it was on normal TV, though lots of people did) so I thought I'd give it a shot. Then I found Bridgerton which I loved! I noticed that everytime I logged on Netflix offered me another series so I started watching Firefly Lane (it's ok but what has Katherine Heigl done to her face!!) , then it was Northern Escape (bit weird), then Virgin River (like a Hallmark movie but in a series. Love it), The Queen's Gambit, Dead to Me, The Crown, I could go on (and on and on). I've only actually finished Bridgerton and I'm watching all the others concurrently! It's ridiculous but great TV. So I maybe should give it up and I would read more, maybe exercise more, maybe bake more but ultimately I'd be bored more!

I have toothache and I am having a root treatment on Tuesday! Yippee. Just what I need when I can't eat chocolate!

Today I started gardening. I planted myself in front of the TV.

Please remember to donate to BHF! They and I really appreciate the support!

PS The cupcakes are supposed to be chicks. Not funny men or a Muppet or Fragle Rock!
